Annihilation diagram contribution to charmonium masses

Renqiang Zhang et al.

Summary: The study shows that for 1S charmonia, the charm quark annihilation effect barely changes the J/psi mass but lifts the eta(c) mass by approximately 3-4 MeV. For 1P charmonia, the effect results in positive mass shifts of approximately 1 MeV for chi(c1) and h(c), but decreases the chi(c)(2) mass by approximately 3 MeV.

The glueball content of ηc

Renqiang Zhang et al.

Summary: This study presents the first lattice QCD derivation of the mixing energy and mixing angle between pseudoscalar charmonium and glueball. The results suggest a possible connection between the mixing and the large total width of the eta(c) meson. However, further experimental measurements are needed to alleviate the discrepancy between theoretical predictions and experimental results.
