Cosmographic approach to Running Vacuum dark energy models: new constraints using BAOs and Hubble diagrams at higher redshifts

Mehdi Rezaei et al.

Summary: This study focuses on different types of dark energy models within the cosmographic approach, finding that the running vacuum models are preferred in cosmological analysis and are successful in alleviating cosmographic tensions in observational data.

Is local H0 at odds with dark energy EFT?

Bum-Hoon Lee et al.

Summary: Local determinations of H-0 fall within a range of approximately 70 km/s/Mpc (TRGB) to 76 km/s/Mpc (Tully-Fisher). In contrast, BAO data calibrated in an early Lambda CDM universe indicate H-0 of approximately 67.5 km/s/Mpc, consistent with Planck-Lambda CDM. By studying different dark energy equations of state and mock BAO data, it is shown that H-0 can increase under certain conditions. Specific models such as Brans-Dicke/f(R) and Kinetic Gravity Braiding within the Horndeski class can also lead to modest increases in H-0.

Cosmology in 5D and 4D Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity

F. Gomez et al.

Summary: We consider the five-dimensional Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity and derive the corresponding field equations and solutions by choosing appropriate coefficients in the five-dimensional Lanczos-Lovelock gravity theory. The hyperbolicity of the equations of motion is discussed, and the implications of the compactification procedure in the cosmological solutions are studied. The same procedure is also applied to obtain four-dimensional gravity from five-dimensional AdS-Chern-Simons gravity and study its cosmological solutions. Some aspects of the construction of the four-dimensional gravity action, as well as a brief review of Lovelock gravity in 5D, are considered in an Appendix.

In the realm of the Hubble tension-a review of solutions *

Eleonora Di Valentino et al.

Summary: There are significant discrepancies in predictions of the Hubble constant, leading to various proposed solutions including new physics theories or modifications to existing cosmological models. Some solutions successfully reduce tension and improve agreement with data, while many others fail to do so, highlighting the need for further research and evidence.
