Qubit teleportation between non-neighbouring nodes in a quantum network

S. L. N. Hermans et al.

Summary: In this study, quantum teleportation between non-neighbouring nodes in a quantum network is achieved using three optically connected nodes based on solid-state spin qubits. Key innovations in the qubit readout procedure and entanglement generation and heralding design during the transmission process enable successful teleportation with fidelity above the classical limit. This study lays an important foundation for future quantum networks.

A non-unitary metasurface enables continuous control of quantum photon-photon interactions from bosonic to fermionic

Quanwei Li et al.

Summary: This paper proposes and experimentally demonstrates a new degree of freedom in optical quantum interference enabled by a non-unitary metasurface. By creating an anisotropic phase response, two extreme eigen-operations are achieved, allowing for dynamic and continuous control over the effective interaction of two single photons, beyond their intrinsic bosonic nature. This quantum operation provides opportunities for fundamental quantum light-matter interaction and innovative photonic quantum devices for various applications in quantum technologies.

One-sided destructive quantum interference from an exceptional-point-based metasurface

Hong Liang et al.

Summary: We propose the concept of one-sided destructive quantum interference based on lossy metasurfaces, which enables unidirectional quantum interference and can be further made totally destructive. This effect, combined with unidirectional zero reflection (UZR), provides more degrees of freedom in quantum interference control and entangled states construction.

Generating high-order quantum exceptional points in synthetic dimensions

Ievgen I. Arkhipov et al.

Summary: Intense research has been conducted on constructing high-order exceptional points in dissipative systems. Previous methods mainly focused on spatial networks of coupled modes or utilization of synthetic dimensions. A recent simple and effective method has been introduced for engineering non-Hermitian Hamiltonians with high-order quantum EPs.
