IoU-Balanced loss functions for single-stage object detection

Summary: This paper proposes IoU-balanced loss functions to solve the problems of single-stage object detectors, namely the lack of localization accuracy caused by the adopted loss functions. The proposed IoU-balanced classification loss focuses on positive examples with high IoU, enhancing the correlation between classification and localization tasks, while the IoU-balanced localization loss adjusts the gradient for examples with different IoU values to improve the localization accuracy of models. Extensive experiments demonstrate that IoU-balanced losses can substantially improve the performance of single-stage detectors.

Detection of cervical lesions in colposcopic images based on the RetinaNet method

Real-Time Detection and Location of Potted Flowers Based on a ZED Camera and a YOLO V4-Tiny Deep Learning Algorithm

Summary: In this paper, a method for real-time and accurate detection of potted flowers on benches is proposed, based on the ZED 2 stereo camera and the YOLO V4-Tiny deep learning algorithm. The method establishes an automatic detection model for flowers and calculates the actual position of the flowers using real-time 3D point cloud information. The results show high precision and recall rates, as well as real-time detection frame rates suitable for deployment on Jetson TX2.

An improved deep residual network with multiscale feature fusion for rotating machinery fault diagnosis

Summary: An improved version of ResNets is proposed in this paper to address the issues of degraded diagnostic accuracy and operational speed in intelligent mechanical fault diagnosis algorithms based on deep learning. The proposed network has been validated to have higher classification accuracy and faster calculation speed compared to classical convolutional neural networks. Additionally, a visual study was conducted to effectively understand the operational processes of the proposed model.
