An enantioselective NiH-catalyzed hydroalkynylation of α,β-unsaturated amides is described, which can proceed under mild conditions and is applicable to a wide range of substrates.
An enantioselective NiH-catalyzed hydroalkynylation of & alpha;,fl-unsaturated amides is reported. A wide range of & alpha;,fl-unsaturated amides and bromoalkynes are suitable substrates for this reaction, which proceeds under mild conditions, allowing access to a variety of enantioenriched chiral fl-alkynyl amides. fl,& gamma;-Unsaturated amides can also be used as substrates and undergo the fl-selective hydroalkynylation with a slightly lower enantiomeric excess.
