Ultrasmall iron phosphide nanoparticles have been reported as an efficient electrocatalyst for the oxygen evolution reaction under alkaline conditions with a lowoverpotential and Tafel slope. Mixing the FeP nanoparticles with reduced graphene oxide further reduces the overpotential to 260 mV at 10 mA cm(-2), which is one of the lowest values reported for OER electrocatalysts.
