Carbon dots structural characterization by solution-state NMR and UV-visible spectroscopy and DFT modeling

Summary: The structural characterization of Carbon dots (Cdots) was conducted using a combination of experimental and theoretical results, correlating synthesis methods with spectroscopic data to identify Polymer dots (PDs) and/or polymer Carbon dots (PCDs) structures. Density functional theory calculations were utilized to predict UV-visible and IR spectra behavior, providing a useful tool for understanding Cdots structures.
