The lead compounds exhibited outstanding drug-like properties.

Thiazole-pyrazoline hybrids as potential antimicrobial agent: Synthesis, biological evaluation, molecular docking, DFT studies and POM analysis

New palladium (II) complexes from halogen substituted Schiff base ligands: Synthesis, spectroscopic, biological activity, density functional theory, and molecular docking investigations

Summary: Novel palladium (II) complexes Pd(L1)2 and Pd(L2)2 derived from ON donor bidentate ligands were synthesized and their structures were confirmed using multiple analytical techniques. The complexes exhibited anticancer activity against breast cancer and colon cancer cell lines, with Pd(L1)2 showing higher activity and selectivity compared to Pd(L2)2. The complexes also showed antioxidant activity and good non-covalent interactions. Molecular docking studies predicted the protein-ligand interactions.

DNA binding studies suggest that the complexes likely bind with DNA in an intercalative mode.

This research may be beneficial for designing novel metal-based anticancer species with high specificity towards tumor cells.
