Magnetization and spin resonances in helical spin systems

I. A. Golovchanskiy et al.

Summary: This work investigates the magnetization and magnetization dynamics in helical-ordered spin systems. The dependence of spin orientations on magnetic field and the dependence of magnetization dynamics on helicity are studied using numerical algorithms. The results show clear dependence on helicity for both spin orientations and magnetization dynamics.

Robust Dirac spin gapless semiconductors in a two-dimensional oxalate based organic honeycomb-kagome lattice

Jianpei Xing et al.

Summary: We discovered a family of two-dimensional oxalate-based metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with robust spin-polarized Dirac cones. The 2D MOFs of Ni-2(C2O4)(3) and Re-2(C2O4)(3) exhibit intrinsic Dirac spin gapless semiconductor properties, large magnetic moments, high Curie temperatures, and large perpendicular magnetic anisotropy. Furthermore, Re-2(C2O4)(3) displays a topologically nontrivial band gap resulting from spin-orbit coupling.

Effect of morphology and stacking on atomic interaction and magnetic characteristics in two-dimensional H-phase VS2 few layers

Shuo Zhang et al.

Summary: This research successfully synthesized H-phase VS2 atomic layers with different morphologies and stacking orders, and discovered their semiconductor characteristic. The interlayer interactions are stacking-dependent, while the intralayer interaction is two orders of magnitude larger than the interlayer interaction. The shear modulus and magnetic behavior of the VS2 film are also investigated.

Hole doping induced half-metallic itinerant ferromagnetism and giant magnetoresistance in CrI3 monolayer

Sheng Yu et al.

Summary: Through hole doping, the CrI3 monolayer can achieve controlled magnetoresistance and enhanced spin polarization, providing new insights for the development of magnetic devices. Additionally, it has a significant impact on the stability of itinerant ferromagnetism and the enhancement of Curie temperature.

Modulation of the contact barrier at VS2/MoS2 interface: A first principles study

Jie Sun et al.

Summary: The study explores two-dimensional metallic VS2 as a promising electrode material for MoS2 based devices by theoretically evaluating the contact barrier at the VS2/MoS2 interface. It is found that a p-type Ohmic contact is formed at the interface and proper stacking order can avoid tunneling barrier. Additionally, atom intercalation strategy can change the contact nature and weaken the tunneling barrier, leading to n-type Ohmic contact between the electrode and MoS2 channel through Na and Mg intercalation.

Review of Recent Progress on Vertical GaN-Based PN Diodes

Taofei Pu et al.

Summary: The article highlights the characteristics of gallium nitride (GaN) material, the development of vertical GaN devices, and their potential in power electronic applications. Vertical GaN-based PN junction diodes have shown significant progress in high epitaxy quality and device structure design, but there is still room for improvement in device epitaxy quality and issues like electrical field crowding effect.
