Improvement of the thermoelectric properties of PEDOT:PSS films via DMSO addition and DMSO/salt post-treatment resolved from a fundamental view

Suo Tu et al.

Summary: The combination of DMSO solvent doping and physical-chemical DMSO/salt de-doping can improve the thermoelectric properties of PEDOT:PSS films, achieving a high power factor. This approach induces significant changes in the PEDOT molecules at the molecular level and mesoscale level, optimizing both electrical conductivity and Seebeck coefficient through assembly and purification processes.

Suppressing PEDOT:PSS Doping-Induced Interfacial Recombination Loss in Perovskite Solar Cells

Yi-Chun Chin et al.

Summary: PEDOT: PSS is widely used in perovskite solar cells as a hole transport layer due to its processability, scalability, and commercialization potential. However, PSCs utilizing PEDOT: PSS suffer from recombination losses. In this study, dedoping PEDOT: PSS and optimizing its layer thickness improved the device's performance by reducing recombination losses at the interface.

Properties and Applications of Copper(I) Thiocyanate Hole-Transport Interlayers Processed from Different Solvents

Bingjun Wang et al.

Summary: This paper reports on the use of N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) and 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone (NMP) as alternative solvents for copper(I) thiocyanate (CuSCN) interlayers. The properties of CuSCN layers processed from DMF and NMP are compared to those processed from traditional solvents and other recent alternatives. The study discusses the surface roughness, polymorphism, and surface chemistry of the resulting CuSCN layers, as well as the interlayer surface energy and ionization potential. The overall suitability of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and DMF as solvents for CuSCN interlayer deposition is demonstrated through device tests.
