A capillary driven microfluidic chip for SERS based hCG detection

Elcin Ezgi Ahi et al.

Summary: This study developed a capillary driven microfluidic chip-based immunoassay for the determination of prohibited hCG protein. The method showed high selectivity and accuracy in detecting various proteins, with a regression coefficient of 0.9985 and a limit of detection of 0.61 IU/L. The analysis system developed for target proteins could serve as an alternative to traditional methods such as Western Blot, offering a more cost-effective and time-saving solution.

Sensitive and selective detection of carbamazepine in serum samples by bionic double-antibody sandwich method based on cucurbit[7]uril and molecular imprinted polymers

Zhaorui Song et al.

Summary: A novel bionic enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (BELISA) based on the double-antibody sandwich method, using cucurbit[7]uril (CB[7]) as a capture antibody and molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) as a detection antibody, is developed for the detection of carbamazepine in human serum samples. The proposed BELISA method shows a good linear relationship in the concentration range of 2-20 μg/mL, with a detection limit of 0.37 μg/mL, meeting the clinical testing demand. It provides a more stable and economical method for clinical therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM).

Molecular Orientation Control of Liquid Crystal Organic Semiconductor for High-Performance Organic Field-Effect Transistors

Moon Jong Han et al.

Summary: This study investigates the control of molecular orientation and ordering of liquid crystal organic semiconductor for high-performance and thermally stable organic thin-film transistors. By reorganizing the liquid crystalline molecule through thermal annealing, the resulting thin film devices show high charge carrier mobilities and excellent thermal stability up to 300 degrees C.

Genetics of gestational trophoblastic disease

Rosemary A. Fisher et al.

Summary: Complete and partial hydatidiform moles are genetically unusual, with diagnosis and differential diagnosis aided by techniques such as genotyping and p57 immunostaining. Genotyping plays an important role in distinguishing gestational and non-gestational trophoblastic tumors, as well as identifying the causative pregnancy.
