Conditional parametric model for sensitivity factors in LV grids: A privacy-preserving approach

Gil Sampaio et al.

Summary: This study presents a data-driven method based on smart meter data to estimate linear sensitivity factors for three-phase unbalanced LV grids. The method combines a privacy-preserving protocol and varying coefficients linear regression. The proposed method enables centralized and peer-to-peer learning of the sensitivity factors, and can be used to solve voltage violations or compute operating envelopes in LV grids.

High-economic PV power compensation algorithm to mitigate voltage rise with minimal curtailment

Zhanqiang Zhang et al.

Summary: In this paper, a coordinated power compensation algorithm (PCA) is proposed to regulate bus voltage effectively with minimal power curtailment by selecting primary control nodes and optimal PV compensation orders based on sensitivity sequence. This method reduces the total power curtailment while serving requisite load demand, as verified by final results on a tested PV system model.

Centralised coordination of EVs charging and PV active power curtailment over multiple aggregators in low voltage networks

Andres Felipe Cortes Borray et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a centralized coordination strategy to mitigate the impact of PV and EV on distribution systems by defining optimal export limits and employing aggregators to dictate optimal signals. The research utilizes mixed-integer quadratic programming and convex optimization models to effectively manage power and voltage constraints in low-voltage networks, regardless of detailed network information. The concepts are tested on a real low-voltage network with critical penetration levels of EVs and PVs, showing promising results in addressing technical challenges faced by distribution system operators.
