Multilevel proteomic analyses reveal molecular diversity between diffuse-type and intestinal-type gastric cancer

Summary: This research utilizes multilevel proteomic analyses to investigate the molecular differences between diffuse-type gastric cancer (DGC) and intestinal-type gastric cancer (IGC) in Chinese patients. The analyses reveal an ARIDIA mutation with opposite prognostic effects, identify three subtypes for DGC and IGC based on distinct protein expression patterns, and demonstrate that disease progressions are regulated by specific transcription factor complexes. Furthermore, immune cell infiltration is shown to be an indicator for immunotherapeutic effectiveness. These results contribute to a better understanding of gastric cancer and have implications for precision medicine.
