Insight into Mn enhanced short-chain olefins selectivity in CO2 hydrogenation over Na-CuFeO2 catalyst

Gaje Singh et al.

Summary: Mn-promoted Na-CuFeO2 catalysts were prepared and explored for CO2 hydrogenation to short-chain olefins. The addition of Mn significantly limited C5+ hydrocarbon formation and improved the selectivity of short-chain olefins. Among the catalysts, 2.5% Mn/Na-CuFeO2 showed excellent performance with high CO2 conversion and selectivity towards C2-C4 olefins.

Base-Free Synthesis and Photophysical Properties of New Schiff Bases Containing Indole Moiety

Ahmed I. A. Soliman et al.

Summary: The synthesis of new Schiff bases containing indole moieties using piperidine and Au@TiO2 as catalysts was compared in this study. Both methods resulted in high yielding products, which were fully characterized. Au@TiO2 was found to be a separable and recyclable catalyst compared to piperidine. Additionally, the synthesized Schiff bases exhibited specific luminescence behavior, which could potentially contribute to the reduction of energy consumption in emitting devices.

Metal-Organic Framework-Derived BiIn Bimetallic Oxide Nanoparticles Embedded in Carbon Networks for Efficient Electrochemical Reduction of CO2 to Formate

Qinru Wang et al.

Summary: By recombining bismuth and indium at the molecular level, bimetallic metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) of Bi/In were obtained, which were then calcined to form MOF-derived bimetallic oxide nanoparticles embedded in carbon networks. This material exhibited excellent activity and selectivity for the electroreduction of CO2 to formic acid, thanks to the synergistic effect of bimetallic components and the high electrical conductivity of the carbon network.

Molybdenum sulfide embedded mesoporous N-Doped carbon as a noble metal-free highly selective catalyst for conversion of CO2 to CO

Siddharth Sameer et al.

Summary: Transition metal chalcogenides, phosphides, and carbides can serve as highly replaceable active materials in various applications instead of precious metals. This study successfully incorporated sulfur in the form of molybdenum sulfide into mesoporous N-Doped carbon, and investigated the characteristics and CO2 conversion activity of MoS2/CNX catalysts, comparing them to MoO3/SBA15 and MoO3/CNX catalysts. The 2.5 MoS2/CNX catalyst showed high efficiency and stability with 52% CO2 conversion and 99% selectivity towards CO due to the presence of a higher number of bridging S22- mode and its sulfur vacancies.
