Copper(II)-Incorporated Porphyrin-Based Porous Organic Polymer for a Nonenzymatic Electrochemical Glucose Sensor

Summary: In this study, a new porous organic polymer based on porphyrin (TEG-POR) was synthesized and its Cu(II) complex (Cu-TEG-POR) showed high sensitivity and a low detection limit for glucose electrooxidation. The as-synthesized polymer was characterized using various techniques. The Cu-TEG-POR-modified electrode exhibited a low detection limit and a wide linear range for electrochemical glucose sensing, with insignificant interference from various compounds. Cu-TEG-POR also showed acceptable recovery for blood glucose detection, indicating its potential for selective and sensitive nonenzymatic glucose detection in human blood.

Nanostructured Hypercrosslinked Porous Organic Polymers: Morphological Evolution and Rapid Separation of Polar Organic Micropollutants

Summary: This research successfully controlled the morphology of nanostructured hypercrosslinked porous organic polymers using different polymerization methods, resulting in irregular aggregates, rigid spheres, and two-dimensional nanosheets. Additionally, sulfonated 2D sheet-like polymers exhibited rapid adsorption kinetics and excellent recyclability for various toxic organic micropollutants in water.
