The chemical tools for imaging dopamine release

Michael R. Post et al.

Summary: Dopamine plays a crucial role in various neuropsychiatric disorders and has long been a target for imaging in humans. Advances in molecular imaging techniques have enabled the tracking of dopamine dynamics through molecules, nanoparticles, and protein sensors. These tools indirectly observe dopamine by exploiting the biology of the dopamine system, offering valuable insights into dopamine research.
