Extinction and stationary distribution of a stochastic COVID-19 epidemic model with time-delay

Rukhsar Ikram et al.

Summary: This study reformulates a stochastic epidemic model with four human classes, proving the existence of a unique positive solution and establishing the stochastic basic reproduction number R-0(s). A stationary distribution (SD) is obtained under several conditions by incorporating a stochastic Lyapunov function, and extinction for the proposed disease model is determined using the local martingale theorem. Numerical simulations are depicted using the first order stochastic Runge-Kutta method.

Stochastic modelling of marijuana use in Washington: pre- and post-Initiative-502 (I-502)

Yusra Bibi Ruhomally et al.

Summary: The dynamics of marijuana usage in Washington before and after I-502 are analyzed using the stochastic SNESRA model. The model is validated and the results show that targeted campaigns of prevention can effectively reduce marijuana consumption.

On the analysis of semi-analytical solutions of Hepatitis B epidemic model under the Caputo-Fabrizio operator

Saeed Ahmad et al.

Summary: The paper investigates a fractional order model describing the dynamics of hepatitis B infectious disease, utilizing Caputo-Fabrizio operator and Banach fixed point theory to study the existence and uniqueness of the solution. A semi-analytical solution of the system is obtained using Laplace Adomian decomposition method, and numerical simulations support the effectiveness of the new derivative operator. The analysis shows improved results compared to classical integer order analysis of the hepatitis B model.

A mathematical model for the coinfection of Buruli ulcer and Cholera

Jin-Qiang Zhao et al.

Summary: The study focuses on the modeling and analysis of coinfection of Buruli and cholera through mathematical models and optimization of control strategies. By analyzing the stability of the models and R-0 values, the asymptotic stability of the coinfection model was determined, and bifurcation analysis was conducted. Numerical experiments showed that prevention and treatment are the most effective control strategies for minimizing infection.
