Facile fabrication of Cu2O nanowire networks with large Seebeck coefficient for application in flexible thermoelectrics

Raitis Sondors et al.

Summary: A simple method was used to fabricate Cu2O nanowire networks, and their thermoelectrical properties were investigated for the first time. The nanowire networks showed a complete transition from CuO phase to Cu2O phase after annealing. The Seebeck coefficient of Cu2O nanowire networks reached 2000 mu V K-1. The power factor of the Cu2O networks was comparable to the Seebeck coefficient values of state-of-the-art Cu2O thin films. This work demonstrated the potential of Cu2O nanowire networks for further applications in flexible thermoelectric devices.
