National Trends of Structural Heart Disease Interventions from 2016 to 2020 in the United States and the Associated Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic

Summary: The utilization and outcomes of structural heart disease interventions in the United States were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Data from 2016 to 2020 showed a decline in procedure utilization during the second quarter of 2020, followed by a gradual recovery to pre-pandemic levels. The analysis also revealed a reduction in hospital length of stay without an increase in mortality or complication rates during the pandemic.
