This paper compares and analyzes the high reliability solutions defined by 3GPP, and discusses the implementation of a high-reliability solution by 5G System (5GS) and the external network. By encouraging 5G service providers to consider high reliability solutions, it can promote more mature and perfect service R & D.
3rd Generation Partnership Project( 3GPP) release16 and release17 have successively defined very rich standards related to government, enterprise and industry customer solutions, especially the high reliability specification has been strengthened in the Ultra Reliable Low Latency Communication(uRLLC) scenario. Although the standardization work has been basically completed, the Researches and Developments (R & D) and productions of new specifications by equipment manufacturers and User Equipment (UE) manufacturers still need to be promoted. Then, their actual business capabilities still need to be verified. This paper compares and analyzes the high reliability solutions defined by 3GPP, and discusses a high-reliability solution implemented by 5G System (5GS) and the external network. We hope to push 5G service providers to think about the high reliability solutions and promote more mature and perfect services R & D.
