Taxonomic revision of the Late Cretaceous canaliculate radiolitid genera (rudist bivalves) Balabania Karacabey-Oztemur, Branislavia Sladic-Trifunovic and Klinghardtites Lupu from Turkey, Serbia and Romania

Summary: The shells of the genera Balabania, Branislavia, and Klinghardtites have been re-examined and compared with rudist literature, revealing that they share diagnostic characteristics with Colveraia Klinghardt. Based on this finding, two species are recognized and their features described.

Taxonomic revision of the rudist bivalve genus Joufia Boehm (Hippuritida, Radiolitidae), Upper Cretaceous, Mediterranean Tethys

Summary: The rudist genus Joufia is characterized by radially oriented canals within the calcitic outer shell layer of the left valve. There are three recognized species within the genus: J. reticulata, J. serbica, and J. milovanovici, each exhibiting distinct features such as multiple canal rings or paired tubular structures in the left valve. These species are distributed across the Mediterranean Tethys region, ranging from Turkey to Italy and SE Spain, and as far south as central Tunisia and SE Turkey.
