Tailoring metal-support interactions via tuning CeO2 particle size for enhancing CO2 methanation activity over Ni/CeO2 catalysts

Shuangxi Lin et al.

Summary: Interfaces derived from metal-support interaction and oxygen vacancies are key factors affecting CO2 methanation performance. By designing CeO2 nanocubes of different sizes, the modulation of metal-support interaction and oxygen vacancy concentration was achieved. The impact of oxygen vacancy and phase interface on activating CO2 molecules was demonstrated, and smaller CeO2 nanocubes exhibited superior performance in CO2 methanation.

Fabrication of a novel nanocomposite (TiO2/WO3/V2O5) by hydrothermal method as catalyst for hazardous waste treatment

Umer Younas et al.

Summary: In this study, a WO3/TiO2/V2O5 catalyst was synthesized and characterized for the degradation of O-NP, MB, and MO pollutants. The results showed that the synthesized nanocomposite exhibited excellent photocatalytic potential, with degradation rates of up to 76%, 86%, and 86% for MB, MO, and O-NP, respectively.

Dynamic Change of Active Sites of Supported Vanadia Catalysts for Selective Catalytic Reduction of Nitrogen Oxides

Guangyan Xu et al.

Summary: The reactivity of Bronsted acid sites on V2O5/TiO2 catalysts plays a crucial role in NH3-SCR reaction, while the reactivity of Lewis acid sites is overestimated. Abundant V-OH Bronsted acid sites govern the overall NOx reduction rate in realistic exhaust containing water vapor.

Layered oxides as cathode materials for beyond-Li batteries: A computational study of Ca and Al intercalation in bulk V2O5 and MoO3

Tilak Das et al.

Summary: This study investigated the fundamental properties of multi-valent Al and Ca ions intercalated into V2O5 and MoO3 layered oxides using Density Functional Theory calculations. The intercalation modes and theoretical voltages for Al and Ca in different oxides were compared and analyzed, showing distinct preferences and voltages for intercalation in intra-layer and inter-layer sites.
