Analysis of the April 13, 2021 bolide off the coast of Florida and Grand Bahama Island

Arpu Kuilpu: An H5 from the outer main belt

Summary: On June 1, 2019, the Desert Fireball Network detected a -9.3 magnitude fireball over South Australia near the Western Australia border. The trajectory analysis revealed that the meteorite originated from the outer main belt and a 42 g fragment was recovered within the predicted fall area. The recovered meteorite, named Arpu Kuilpu, is an H5 ordinary chondrite and marks the fifth fall recovered in Australia by the DFN.

The Winchcombe meteorite, a unique and pristine witness from the outer solar system

Summary: Direct links between carbonaceous chondrites and their parent bodies in the solar system are rare. The Winchcombe meteorite, being the most accurately recorded carbonaceous chondrite fall, provides evidence of the composition and origins of these meteorites. Its composition, largely unmodified by terrestrial environment, contains hydrated silicates and organic matter, including soluble protein amino acids. Furthermore, its near-pristine hydrogen isotopic composition is similar to that of Earth's hydrosphere, suggesting the role of volatile-rich carbonaceous asteroids in the origin of Earth's water.

Iron Rain: measuring the occurrence rate and origin of small iron meteoroids at Earth

By combining dynamic mass and optical radiation methods, a reliable estimate of 1 ton TNT for energy deposition has been determined, with optical energy proving to be the most accurate predictor for impact energy near the ton TNT-scale.

Trajectory and orbit of the unique carbonaceous meteorite Flensburg

Luminous efficiency based on FRIPON meteors and limitations of ablation models

Luminous efficiency of meteors derived from ablation model after assessment of its range of validity
