Facile Synthesis of Unsupported Pd Aerogel for High Performance Formic Acid Microfluidic Fuel Cell

Alejandra Martinez-Lazaro et al.

Summary: In this study, unsupported Pd aerogel catalysts were synthesized for the first time using microwaves as a heating source. The catalysts showed superior performance in the formic acid electro-oxidation reaction when compared to conventional heating and even a commercial Pd/C catalyst. This research demonstrates the potential of microwave synthesis for the development of efficient catalysts.
