Factors influencing the perception of feeling safe in pre-hospital emergency care: A mixed-methods systematic review

Juan-Antonio Peculo-Carrasco et al.

Summary: This article aims to systematically describe the factors influencing the perception of feeling safe among patients receiving pre-hospital emergency care. The findings suggest that the perception of safety is influenced by many factors, which can be grouped into four independent dimensions. Awareness of these factors enables us to improve patients' safety and collaboration.

Epidemiology of cardiovascular disease in Europe

Nick Townsend et al.

Summary: This review highlights the significant health burden of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in the WHO European Region, with CVD being the leading cause of death in the region. Men have higher age-standardized rates of morbidity and death from CVD compared to women, particularly in individuals under 70 years of age. Improving surveillance and monitoring, as well as implementing evidence-based preventive and treatment approaches, are essential to address the large inequalities in CVD outcomes across countries in Europe.
