Risk evolution analysis of ship pilotage operation by an integrated model of FRAM and DBN

Yunlong Guo et al.

Summary: This paper develops a risk evolution analysis model by combining Functional Resonance Analysis Method (FRAM) and Dynamic Bayesian Network (DBN) to reveal the spatiotemporal evolution of ship collision risks in pilotage operations. The findings show that the evolution of collision risk in ship pilotage is significantly sensitive to regional locations, with inadequate human look-out being among the most influential factors.

An integrated risk analysis method for tanker cargo handling operation using the cloud model and DEMATEL method

Fei Gao

Summary: This paper proposes an integrated risk analysis method for tanker cargo handling operation based on the cloud model and DEMATEL method. The study aims to investigate the extent to which different factors may affect the ship structural safety. By analyzing and reviewing literature, 23 risk factors are identified. Through the application of the cloud model and DEMATEL method, a cause-effect diagram is constructed, and the results are analyzed and discussed.

Analyzing Critical Factors for the Smart Construction Site Development: A DEMATEL-ISM Based Approach

Xiaer Xiahou et al.

Summary: The concept of smart construction site (SCS) has gained attention in the industry, but a comprehensive framework for SCS development is still lacking. This research identifies 17 critical factors for SCS development from the perspective of management, technology, and organization. Through factor analysis and a questionnaire survey, these factors are categorized into seven hierarchies and demonstrate the interrelationships among them. The systematic analysis of critical factors provides new insights for future SCS development, serving as a reference for stakeholders such as government and construction enterprises.

Resilience evaluation methodology of engineering systems with dynamic-Bayesian-network-based degradation and maintenance

Baoping Cai et al.

Summary: A novel evaluation methodology combining Markov model and dynamic Bayesian networks is proposed to assess system resilience under the influence of various external disasters. The method establishes an external disaster model, obtains system performance, and calculates resilience value through the integral of the performance curve. An example of its application in subsea blowout preventers demonstrates its effectiveness.

Evaluation of the spontaneous combustion tendency of corrosion products in oil tanks based on TOPSIS methodologies

Hui Liu et al.

Summary: Thermogravimetry was used to obtain thermodynamic parameters of corrosion products in oil tanks, and then the CRITIC method was applied to calculate objective weights for evaluation indexes. The TOPSIS theory was used for comprehensive evaluation of the spontaneous combustion tendency. The results showed that the mass loss rate at the ignition point had the highest weight in determining spontaneous combustion tendency, and higher heating rates resulted in stronger tendencies for spontaneous combustion.
