Electrosynthesis of Ni/Al layered double hydroxide and re duce d graphene oxide composites for the development of hybrid capacitors

Elisa Musella et al.

Summary: A novel electrochemical synthesis method for producing LDHs intercalated with carbon nanomaterials was proposed. The synthesized composites were characterized and analyzed to understand their structure and growth mechanisms. The best performing material showed promising results in the development of a hybrid supercapacitor, emphasizing the importance of low environmental impact systems.

Synthesis and Characterization of Layered Double Hydroxides as Materials for Electrocatalytic Applications

Domenica Tonelli et al.

Summary: Layered double hydroxides (LDHs) are anionic clays with applications in various fields, particularly electrochemistry. Their electrical conductivity is crucial for performing reversible redox reactions. Metal centers can act as redox mediators to catalyze reactions with high overpotential requirements, playing a key role in processes and devices development where controlling charge transfer reactions is important.
