LIAS: A Lightweight Incentive Authentication Scheme for Forensic Services in IoV

Mingyue Zhang et al.

Summary: This paper presents a lightweight incentive authentication scheme (LIAS) for forensic services in Internet of Vehicles (IoV). LIAS is developed on a three-tier architecture and uses pairing-free certificateless signcryption, pseudonym update mechanism, and incentive mechanism to achieve secure and efficient anonymous authentication.

Automated Behavior Identification of Home Security Camera Traffic

Shuhe Liu et al.

Summary: With the widespread use of IoT devices, home security cameras (HSCs) have become popular but raise concerns about security risks. Analyzing HSC devices' behavior is challenging as it is difficult to distinguish it from video traffic. Our proposed approach analyzes unidirectional packets in non-TLS network traffic to solve this problem and introduces a two-factor automatic behavior labeling approach based on reverse traffic and operation logs. Tests show that our framework can extract and identify HSC devices' behavioral traffic automatically, improving security awareness and anomaly detection.
