Influence of air exposure on structural isomers of silver nanoparticles

Jerome Vernieres et al.

Summary: The atomic structures of silver nanoparticles differ under air exposure and vacuum, with the icosahedron structure predominant in the former. This deviation is attributed to the formation of surface oxide or sulphide species resulting from air exposure. Understanding the effects of ambient exposure on the atomic structure of nanoparticles is crucial for their real-world performance and applications.

Regression and clustering algorithms for AgCu nanoalloys: from mixing energy predictions to structure recognition

Cesare Roncaglia et al.

Summary: The lowest-energy structures of AgCu nanoalloys were found through global optimization algorithms for different sizes, and the mixing energy was successfully predicted using machine learning techniques. Unsupervised learning algorithms demonstrated the feasibility of automatic classification of nanoalloys into different physically meaningful structural families, and the temperature-dependent probabilities of these structural families were calculated using the harmonic superposition approximation.

Single-molecule localization microscopy

Mickael Lelek et al.

Summary: Single-molecule localization microscopy (SMLM) is a powerful imaging technique that allows imaging of biological structures at the molecular scale with improved spatial resolution. By computationally localizing individual fluorescent molecules, super-resolution images can be generated, and experimental considerations and computational processing methods are discussed.
