Emergence of a superglass phase in the random-hopping Bose-Hubbard model

Anna M. Piekarska et al.

Summary: In this study, we investigate a feasible experimental system of strongly correlated bosons with random hoppings. We find and describe a superglass phase that emerges at the interface between the glass and superfluid phases. The superglass phase exhibits both glassy and long-range ordered states, which compete with each other.

Experimental realization of a 3D random hopping model

Carsten Lippe et al.

Summary: Three-dimensional spin models with random hopping disorder are relevant to a wide range of physical systems. In an experimental realization in a Rydberg system with dipole-dipole coupling, the authors showed signatures of a localization-delocalization transition. The study suggests that even small imperfections can significantly alter the transport properties of a system.
