Neural Output Feedback Control of Automobile Steer-by-Wire System With Predefined Performance and Composite Learning

Yunlong Wang et al.

Summary: This article addresses the steering control problem for steer-by-wire (SbW) systems subject to uncertainties, disturbances, and unavailable variables. An adaptive neural network-based observer and a disturbance observer are constructed to estimate the angular velocity signal and the compound disturbance. The controller is designed based on the backstepping scheme and a composite learning scheme for uncertainty approximation using neural networks. The Lyapunov stability theory shows the bounded signals and convergence of the tracking error within a preset range.

Finite-Time Adaptive Neural Network Observer-Based Output Voltage-Tracking Control for DC-DC Boost Converters

Yunlong Wang et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the problem of accurate voltage tracking control for DC-DC boost converter under unknown system parameters and load. Uncertainties caused by the perturbation of the inductor, capacitor, input voltage and load are approximated by neural networks. A finite-time observer is proposed to obtain the estimates of lumped uncertainty without any true parameters of the system. Finally, a finite-time control scheme is proposed for the DC-DC boost converter to improve the convergence of output voltage.

Enhanced Predictive Model Based Deadbeat Control for PMSM Drives Using Exponential Extended State Observer

Fengxiang Wang et al.

Summary: This article proposes a deadbeat control method based on an enhanced predictive model and an exponential extended state observer (EDB-EESO) to improve the robustness and dynamic tracking performance of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drives. By incorporating parameter mismatches and load perturbation as disturbances, extended state-space realizations are utilized for the PMSM speed and stator current mathematical models. The proposed exponential extended state observer (EESO) enhances robustness under disturbances, and the enhanced predictive model is designed to improve overshoot and settling time. Experimental results demonstrate the superior robustness and dynamic tracking performance of the EDB-EESO compared with conventional methods.

Adaptive neural network output tracking control of uncertain switched nonlinear systems: An improved multiple Lyapunov function method

Dong Yang et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the adaptive neural network output tracking control problem for a class of uncertain switched nonlinear systems. By relaxing the traditional multiple Lyapunov function conditions, an improved multiple Lyapunov function method is developed. A feasible state-dependent switching signal and an adaptive neural network output tracking switching controller are designed to ensure that the output tracking error converges to an arbitrarily small neighborhood of the origin, and all the signals in the closed-loop system remain within a bounded region. Numerical examples and an application example are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Event-triggered asynchronous sliding mode control of CSTR based on Markov model

Fanbiao Li et al.

Summary: This paper proposes an asynchronous sliding mode control design method based on the event-triggered strategy for the continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) under external disturbance. Markov process is applied to model the multi-mode switching phenomenon caused by temperature and concentration fluctuation. Asynchronous switching characteristics are introduced to describe mismatch between the controller and the system. An observer based on the event-triggered strategy is proposed to estimate system states in real time and reduce computational cost, while a sliding mode controller is designed for dynamic stability.

Summary: This article proposes an adaptive finite-time control plan for a nonlinear uncertain continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) with time-varying output constraint. The system is decomposed into nonlinear systems with pure-feedback structure using the mean value theorem, and a tangent barrier Lyapunov function is applied in the adaptive finite-time controller design process to handle time-varying output constraint, achieving stability of the closed-loop system.
