Photo-Stimuli-Responsive Dual-Emitting Luminescence of a Spiropyran-Encapsulated Metal-Organic Framework for Dynamic Information Encryption

He-Qi Zheng et al.

Summary: A novel photo-stimuli-responsive dual-emitting luminescent material ZJU-128 superset of SP is reported, which is obtained by encapsulating spiropyran molecules into a cadmium-based metal-organic framework (MOF). The MOF/dye composite exhibits blue and red emissions from ZJU-128 and spiropyran, respectively. Utilizing the photoisomerization of spiropyran, fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) process is achieved, enabling the development of dynamic anti-counterfeiting patterns and multiplexed coding based on ZJU-128 superset of SP film.

Achieving White-Light Emission Using Organic Persistent Room Temperature Phosphorescence

Zhu Wu et al.

Summary: Artificial lighting accounts for about one-fifth of global electricity production. Organic emitters with white persistent RTP have potential in energy-efficient lighting technologies due to their ability to harvest both singlet and triplet excitons. Compared to heavy metal phosphorescent materials, they offer advantages in terms of cost, processability, and reduced toxicity. This review summarizes recent advances in purely organic RTP materials for white-light emission and introduces white phosphorescent carbon dots and representative applications.
