Relative Validation of an Artificial Intelligence-Enhanced, Image-Assisted Mobile App for Dietary Assessment in Adults: Randomized Crossover Study

Audrey Moyen et al.

Summary: Keenoa, an image-assisted food diary integrated with artificial intelligence food recognition, has shown moderate to strong relative validity for dietary assessment compared to the validated 24-hour web-based food recall platform ASA24. It accurately assesses energy and nutrient intake in both healthy individuals and those with diabetes. Keenoa is preferred by users and has the potential to improve the work of dietitians and nutrition researchers by facilitating food-tracking adherence over longer periods.
