Summary: Melanoma, the most aggressive and metastasis-prone form of skin cancer, is commonly treated with chemotherapeutic agents. However, these conventional therapies have limitations such as systemic toxicity and side effects. In this study, paclitaxel-loaded lipid-coated manganese ferrite magnetic nanoparticles (PTX-LMNP) were developed as a potential solution for targeted chemo-magnetic hyperthermia treatment of melanoma.

The effective radiolabeling of Ker-AuNPs with 99mTc is achieved using a chelating agent, and the Ker-AuNPs exhibit excellent photo-thermal properties and biocompatibility.

The material exhibited significant antibacterial effects within only 6 minutes of irradiation with 808 nm light, reaching germicidal rates of 99.25% and 100% for E. coli and B. subtilis, respectively.
