Fourier ptychographic topography

Hao Wang et al.

Summary: Topography measurement is crucial for surface characterization and inspection applications. This study presents a novel topography technique called Fourier ptychographic topography (FPT), which combines a computational microscope and a phase retrieval algorithm to achieve wide-field-of-view and high-resolution topography reconstruction with nanoscale accuracy. FPT has important implications for surface characterization, semiconductor metrology, and inspection applications.

Single-shot wide-field topography measurement using spectrally multiplexed reflection intensity holography via space-domain Kramers-Kronig relations

Chungha Lee et al.

Summary: In this paper, a single-shot full-field surface topography measurement method using Kramers-Kronig holographic imaging and spectral multiplexing is presented. By simultaneously measuring three different intensity images at different incident angles with three different colors, a quantitative phase image was extracted using spatial Kramers-Kronig relations. A high-resolution topographic image of the sample was then reconstructed using synthetic aperture holography. Various patterned structures at the nanometer scale were measured and cross-validated using atomic force microscopy.

Single-shot higher-order transport-of-intensity quantitative phase imaging based on computer-generated holography

Naru Yoneda et al.

Summary: A technique using computer-generated hologram (CGH) to improve the imaging quality of quantitative phase imaging (QPI) based on the transport of intensity equation (TIE) was proposed. The CGH inserted in the Fourier plane allows for multiple defocused intensity distributions to be simultaneously detected on an image sensor plane, eliminating the need for mechanical scanning and demonstrating feasibility through numerical simulation and optical experiment.

Optical module for single-shot quantitative phase imaging based on the transport of intensity equation with field of view multiplexing

Jose Angel Picazo-Bueno et al.

Summary: The method presents a cost-effective, simple, and robust approach for single-shot quantitative phase imaging using an add-on optical module that can be assembled into the exit port of any regular microscope. After calibration and experimental validation, this configuration can be integrated into a compact 3D printed module for QPI of dynamic transparent samples.

Intensity-based holographic imaging via space-domain Kramers-Kronig relations

YoonSeok Baek et al.

Summary: Holography is a powerful tool for recording wave information, and a recent advancement has introduced a holographic imaging method that does not require an interferometric setup or coherent light source, allowing the phase image of an object to be obtained directly from a single intensity measurement. This new method provides a convenient and efficient approach to holographic imaging without the need for iterative processes or strict constraints.
