Decreasing Trends in Road Traffic Mortality in Poland: A Twenty-Year Analysis

Monika Burzynska et al.

Summary: The study aimed to assess mortality trends due to road traffic accidents in Poland from 1999 to 2018, showing a decreasing trend. There were significant differences in traffic accident-related mortality between men and women, with a slower decline in the oldest age group (65+). Recommendations include in-depth analyses and effective preventive solutions to improve road traffic safety in Poland. Legal regulations should focus on the most vulnerable road users.
