Doxorubicin imprinted magnetic polymethacrylamide as a pH-sensitive anticancer nanocarrier

Summary: In this study, magnetic doxorubicin imprinted polymer nanoparticles were successfully synthesized using the surface imprinting approach and characterized for potential drug delivery applications. The nanoparticles showed high drug loading and pH responsivity, with sustained release profiles in tumor tissue conditions. The cytotoxicity study also demonstrated significant cytotoxicity against A549 cells. Therefore, the magnetic doxorubicin imprinted polymer nanoparticles hold promise as a potential candidate for anticancer drug delivery systems.

Ultrasound-assisted adsorption of chlorpyrifos from aqueous solutions using magnetic chitosan/graphene quantum dot-iron oxide nanocomposite hydrogel beads in batch adsorption column and fixed bed

Summary: This study synthesized chitosan-based hydrogel beads with different contents of iron oxide-graphene quantum dots for the ultrasonic-assisted removal of chlorpyrifos from wastewater. The results showed that the chitosan/graphene quantum dot-iron oxide (10) had the highest adsorption efficiency of 99.997%. Furthermore, the study demonstrated that the ultrasonic-assisted removal significantly reduced the equilibration time of chlorpyrifos.
