Passive sampling of chlorophenols in water and soils using diffusive gradients in thin films based on β-cyclodextrin polymers

Yuanting Zhu et al.

Summary: Chlorophenols (CPs) are considered priority control pollutants due to their high toxicity and wide distribution. The In-situ monitoring technique using diffusive gradients in thin films based on porous beta-cyclodextrin polymers (CDP-DGT) can stably monitor four typical CPs in water and soils. The study shows that the higher the soil organic matter content, the more CPs are distributed in the soil solid phase.

Adsorption of Hydrophobic Ions on Environmentally Relevant Sorbents

Gergely Becskereki et al.

Summary: Environmental monitoring and remediation often involve the removal of harmful substances from water. Absorption with polymeric sorbents has been found to be effective for binding weak acids and bases. The binding efficiency is influenced by pH values and ionic strength. Research shows that neutral forms have higher adsorption at pH 7, while ionic forms have similar behavior to ionic surfactants.

Development and Applications of Novel DGT Passive Samplers for Measuring 12 Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances in Natural Waters and Wastewaters

Zhou Fang et al.

Summary: This study developed a new passive sampling method for monitoring various PFASs in water, which showed stable performance under different environmental conditions and can be widely applied in different water bodies. Additionally, diffusion coefficients of 12 PFASs were measured, linear correlations were established, providing a foundation for future research.

Summary: The developed MIP-DGT sampler is capable of selectively measuring FQs in waters, showing selective adsorption and linear accumulation of FQs over time. The influence of DOM on MIP-DGT measurements is significant, but correlations with grab sampling results indicate the reliability of MIP-DGT measurements.
