Sample sizes for saturation in qualitative research: A systematic review of empirical tests

Factors Associated With Undergraduate Nursing Students' Academic and Clinical Performance: A Mixed-Methods Study

Summary: This study aimed to identify factors influencing the academic and clinical performance of undergraduate nursing students. The study found that students with higher secondary school results and studying at the outer metropolitan campus achieved better academic performance, while international students had lower academic performance. Students with a previous diploma of nursing and international students also had lower clinical performance. Students identified that a comprehensive orientation, interactive curriculum, support structure, and educator qualities influenced their academic and/or clinical performance.

Caring ability of nursing students pre- and post-internship: a longitudinal study

Summary: This study aimed to explore the differences in the caring ability of undergraduate nursing students before and after internship in China. The results showed that the students' caring ability significantly improved after the internship, especially in the cognitive and patience dimensions. However, there was no significant improvement in the courage dimension. Therefore, nursing educators and clinical nurses should emphasize the development of caring ability in internship planning and encourage students to engage more with patients.

What is the perception of medical students about eLearning during the COVID-19 pandemic? A multicenter study in Peru

Summary: This study assessed the perception of 440 medical students from two national universities in Peru on the characteristics and limitations of eLearning during 2021. The results showed that virtual platforms were considered effective in providing feedback and organizing documents, but there were concerns about the lack of teacher training and the impact of the virtual modality on academic performance. Furthermore, there were differences in opinions among students from different universities regarding the fairness of virtual exams.
