Marie-Catherine Wendt et al.

Summary: Novel food technologies can contribute to addressing global challenges and achieving sustainable food production and consumption patterns. However, the success of these technologies in the market relies on consumer acceptance. The food technology neophobia scale (FTNS) is an effective tool for understanding consumer attitudes towards novel food technologies. This systematic review provides valuable insights into the FTNS, allowing professionals in the food industry and research field to identify target populations and design strategies to ensure successful market outcomes for food technology innovations.
