An updated review of the new hadron states

Hua-Xing Chen et al.

Summary: The past decades have seen significant advancements in hadron physics, particularly in the observation of excited open heavy flavor mesons and baryons since 2017. This review provides updated information on the recent experimental and theoretical developments in this field, including the observation of unconventional heavy hadrons, tetraquark states, and hidden heavy flavor multiquark states. Additionally, the review covers progress in understanding glueballs and light hybrid mesons, which are manifestations of the non-Abelian SU(3) gauge interaction in Quantum Chromodynamics at low energies.

Cross-Channel Constraints on Resonant Antikaon-Nucleon Scattering

Jun-Xu Lu et al.

Summary: Chiral perturbation theory and its unitarized versions have been instrumental in our understanding of low-energy strong interaction. In this study, the first global analysis of meson-baryon scattering up to one-loop order is presented. The results demonstrate that covariant baryon chiral perturbation theory, including unitarization for the negative strangeness sector, can accurately describe meson-baryon scattering data. This validates the validity of this important low-energy effective field theory of QCD.

Observation of Directed Flow of Hypernuclei H-3(Lambda) and H-4(Lambda) in root s(NN)=3 GeV Au + Au Collisions at RHIC

B. E. Aboona et al.

Summary: We report the first observation of directed flow (v(1)) of hypernuclei H-3(Lambda) and H-3(Lambda) in mid-central Au + Au collisions at root s(NN) 1/4 3 GeV at RHIC. Through two- and three-body decay channels, about 8400 H-3(Lambda) and 5200 H-4(Lambda) candidates are reconstructed from 165 x 10(6) events in 5%-40% centrality. It is observed that these hypernuclei exhibit significant directed flow and their midrapidity v(1) slopes follow baryon number scaling, indicating the dominance of coalescence mechanism in their production.

Heavy flavour physics and CP violation at LHCb: A ten-year review

Shanzhen Chen et al.

Summary: Heavy flavour physics offers excellent opportunities for indirect searches of new physics at high energy scales and for studying hadron properties to gain a deeper understanding of strong interactions. The LHCb experiment has been at the forefront of heavy flavour physics research since the start of LHC operations, providing high-precision measurements and unexpected discoveries with potential implications for particle physics. This review focuses on the influential physics results obtained by LHCb during the first two operation periods of the LHC, highlighting CP violation, rare decays, and heavy flavour production and spectroscopy. The upgrade plan of LHCb and the future physics prospects are also briefly discussed.

Study of the DK interaction with femtoscopic correlation functions

Zhi-Wei Liu et al.

Summary: In this work, we calculate the DK femtoscopic correlation function in the coupled-channel framework for different source sizes, which can directly probe the strongly attractive DK interaction and help elucidate the nature of D*s0(2317). We further generalize the study of source size dependence to various interactions and hope to motivate future experimental measurements in understanding exotic hadrons.

Phase shifts of the light pseudoscalar meson and heavy meson scattering in heavy meson chiral perturbation theory

Bo-Lin Huang et al.

Summary: We calculate the complete T matrices of elastic light pseudoscalar meson and heavy meson scattering to the third order in heavy meson chiral perturbation theory. We determine the low-energy constants by fitting the phase shifts and scattering lengths from lattice QCD simulations simultaneously, and predict the phase shifts at the physical meson masses. The strong phase shifts in various channels suggest the presence of bound states or resonances, including the well-known exotic state D-s0*(2317).

X (3872) and Tcc: Structures and productions in heavy ion collisions

Hyeongock Yun et al.

Summary: We discuss the possible structures of the observed Tcc and X(3872) states, arguing that Tcc could be a compact multiquark configuration while X(3872) is more likely a molecular configuration. We base our argument on the different short range interactions and the presence of a common strong mixing at larger distances. Using the coalescence model, we calculate the transverse momentum dependence of the tetraquarks produced in heavy ion collisions and compare it with experimental data. Our results suggest that the previously assumed compact multiquark structure of Tcc is significantly different from the observed distribution, providing evidence for its molecular configuration.

This paper presents the latest results on the production of light (anti)nuclei in pp collisions at root s = 13TeV and compares them with theoretical predictions. The study confirms the coalescence mechanism for the production of these particles and paves the way for future investigations of more complex nuclear clusters.

Novel Coupled Channel Framework Connecting the Quark Model and Lattice QCD for the Near-threshold Ds States

Zhi Yang et al.

Summary: A novel framework is proposed to extract near-threshold resonant states from lattice QCD energy levels and is applied to study the structures of positive parity D-s mesons. The quark model, quark-pair-creation mechanism, and D-(*K-) interaction are incorporated into the effective field theory to analyze the composition of the D-s mesons. The results show that the physical D-s0* (2317) and D-s1* (2460) are mixtures of bare c (s) over bar core and D-(*K-) component, while the D-s1* (2536) and D-s2* (2573) are dominated by the bare CS%.

Production of DS0*(2317) and DS1(2460) in B decays as D(*)K and DS(*)η molecules

Ming-Zhu Liu et al.

Summary: The molecular nature of D(S0)*(2317) and D-S1(2460) has been studied extensively in terms of their masses, decay properties, and production rates. This study focuses on the weak decays of B -> (D) over bar D-(*)(S0)*(2317) and B -> (D) over bar D-(*)(S1)(2460) using triangle diagrams. The results show that the absolute branching fractions of B -> (D) over bar D-(*)(S0)*(2317) are in reasonable agreement with experimental data, while the branching fractions of B -> (D) over bar D-(*)(S1)(2460) are smaller than the experimental central values.

Production of Ds0*(2317) and Ds1(2460) in B decays as D(*)K and Ds(*)η molecules

Ming-Zhu Liu et al.

Summary: In this study, the weak decays of B mesons are investigated using triangle diagrams. The absolute branching fractions of B -> (D) over bar (()*D-)(s0)*(2317) are found to be in good agreement with experimental data, while the branching fractions of B -> (D) over bar (()*D-)(s1)(2460) are smaller than the experimental central values by a factor of two to three. This discrepancy may be attributed to missing reaction mechanisms or a relatively larger c (s) over bar component in the D-s1(2460) wave function.
