Tannic acid-derived selective capture of bacteria from apple juice

Summary: Given the importance of rapid bacterial capture and removal, tannic acid-functionalized virus-like Fe3O4 (vFe(3)O(4)- TA) was developed for bacterial enrichment. It showed excellent selectivity and efficiency in capturing Gram-positive bacteria and could effectively distinguish them in juice samples. These findings have implications for food safety control, medical treatment, and environmental remediation.

Facile construction of a reusable multi-enzyme cascade bioreactor for effective fluorescence discrimination and quantitation of amino acid enantiomers

Summary: This study presents a one-step strategy to construct a novel cascade bioreactor for chiral sensing of multiple amino acid enantiomers by coupling LAAO and HRP. The chiral sensor allows highly sensitive discrimination of various amino acid enantiomers and quantitative determination of ee value. The stability and reusability of the sensor are well demonstrated, making it a promising tool for enantioselective fluorescence discrimination and quantitative determination of ee value for amino acid enantiomers.

The magnetic graphene oxide was prepared by coupling magnetic nanosilica with graphene oxide using (3-aminopropyl) triethoxysilane as a functionalizing agent. The experimental results showed that the Fe3O4@SiO2-NH2/GO nanoadsorbents exhibited excellent adsorption performance and stability.

Cooperative catalysis by a single-atom enzyme-metal complex
