A multiplicative thinning-based integer-valued GARCH model

Abdelhakim Aknouche et al.

Summary: In this article, a multiplicative integer-valued time series model is introduced, which combines the features of INGARCH, ACD, and INAR processes. The model can generate high overdispersion, persistence, and heavy-tailedness. The dynamic probabilistic structure of the model is analyzed, and parameter estimation is considered using a two-stage weighted least squares estimate. Applications of the model to simulated and actual count time series data are provided.

Forecasting transaction counts with integer-valued GARCH models

Abdelhakim Aknouche et al.

Summary: Using transaction data on stock trades, this study conducts forecasting with INGARCH models under various conditional distributions such as Poisson and negative binomial. Model parameters are estimated with efficient Markov Chain Monte Carlo methods, and forecast evaluations are based on point and density forecasts.

A new class of integer-valued GARCH models for time series of bounded counts with extra-binomial variation

Huaping Chen et al.

Summary: This article introduces a new class of beta-binomial integer-valued GARCH models to analyze certain characteristics of integer-valued time series. The performance of conditional maximum likelihood estimates and the asymptotic properties of the estimators are established through simulation studies. Finally, the proposed models are applied to real data sets for further analysis.

COUNT AND DURATION TIME SERIES WITH EQUAL CONDITIONAL STOCHASTIC AND MEAN ORDERS

Abdelhakim Aknouche et al.

Summary: We study a positive-valued time series with a time-varying mean in the conditional distribution, mainly focusing on count or duration data. We show that stationarity and ergodicity hold when the mean and stochastic orders of the conditional distribution are the same. This condition applies to exponential family distributions and many others.

MIXTURES OF NONLINEAR POISSON AUTOREGRESSIONS

Paul Doukhan et al.

Summary: The study focuses on nonlinear infinite order Markov switching integer-valued ARCH models for count time series data. Structural properties of these models are explored and consistency and asymptotic normality of the maximum likelihood estimator are proven under mild conditions for the case of finite order autoregression. The research also demonstrates that the BIC provides a consistent estimator for selecting the true number of regimes through a marginal likelihood ratio test.

Semiparametric integer-valued autoregressive models on DOUBLE-STRUCK CAPITAL Z

Zhengwei Liu et al.

Summary: The article discusses addressing negative values and negative correlations in integer-valued time series data, proposing a semiparametric model that can handle autoregressive coefficients of arbitrary sign by rounding the innovation distribution. The model resolves issues with parameter estimation and confidence intervals by introducing a log-concave innovation approach.
