Mediating effect of cognitive load in song learning with visually presented lyrics

Summary: The study aimed to explore whether seeing the lyrics while learning a difficult song aurally can reduce cognitive load in learners and improve recall accuracy of the learned song. Results showed that seeing the lyrics affected cognitive load but did not significantly impact recall accuracy. Path analysis revealed a mediating effect of cognitive load on lyrics and rhythm recall accuracy.
