Investigating the transition form factors of Λb → Λc(2625) and Ξb → Ξc(2815) and the corresponding weak decays with support from baryon spectroscopy

Yu-Shuai Li et al.

Summary: We calculate the form factors of the Ab -> Ac(2625) and Eb -> Ec(2815) transitions and evaluate the corresponding semileptonic and nonleptonic decays. Using the three-body light-front quark model and baryon spectroscopy, we obtain the spatial wave functions and compute the decay modes. Our results show that the branching ratios of the semileptonic processes can reach up to 1%, which is consistent with experimental data, and the nonleptonic decays to pi-, rho-, and D(*)- s final states have significant widths. These decay modes can be studied at the LHCb experiment.

Investigating the color-suppressed decays Λb → Λψ Aye in the perturbative QCD approach

Zhou Rui et al.

Summary: The nonleptonic two-body Lambda(b) -> Lambda(psi) decays, with psi = J/psi or psi(2S), are investigated using the perturbative QCD approach. The dominance of nonfactorizable contributions is confirmed in these color-suppressed processes. By considering four independent complex helicity amplitudes, the concerned decays can be accurately described due to angular momentum conservation. The obtained helicity amplitudes are then utilized to calculate branching ratios and observable parameters, and compared with existing theoretical predictions and experimental data. Additionally, the long-distance contributions to semileptonic Lambda(b) -> Al(+)l(-) decays in the vicinity of J/psi and psi(2S) resonances are briefly explored.

Light-cone sum rule analysis of semileptonic decays Λb0 → Λc+ l- (ν)over-barl

Hui-Hui Duan et al.

Summary: In this study, the semileptonic decay processes of Λ(b) -> Λ(c) are analyzed using the light-cone sum rule approach. The form factors of the Λ(b) baryon transition matrix element are calculated using the light-cone distribution amplitudes obtained from the QCD sum rule in the heavy quark effective field theory framework. The results are consistent with the newest experimental result and other theoretical calculations and predictions.

Revisiting semileptonic decays of Λb(c) supported by baryon spectroscopy

Yu-Shuai Li et al.

Summary: Semileptonic decays of Lambda(b) and Lambda(c) are studied in the light-front quark model, considering different states of Lambda((c))(*) and discussing form factors, branching fractions, and partial widths. The results provide insight into heavy baryon decays and baryon structures, and are valuable for experimental measurements.

Λb → Λ*c (2595,2625)l-ν-. form factors from lattice QCD

Stefan Meinel et al.

Summary: This study presents the first lattice-QCD determination of form factors for Lambda(b) -> Lambda*(c)(2595) l(-)nu(-) and Lambda(b) -> Lambda*c(2625) l(-)nu(-) decays, offering new opportunities to test lepton flavor universality and playing a key role in global analyses of strong interactions. The full set of form factors for vector, axial vector, and tensor terms are determined with extrapolations to the continuum limit and physical pion mass. Standard Model predictions for differential decay rates and angular observables are provided, with the study showing a 2.5 times larger rate for the 1/2- final state compared to the 3/2- final state. Compatibility with zero-recoil sum rules is also tested.
