Effects of dietary restriction on cognitive function: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Wenqi Lu et al.

Summary: This study provides evidence that dietary restriction has a positive effect on cognitive function in overweight/normal-weight individuals and those with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). However, caution is needed when generalizing these findings to other populations. More high-quality, large-scale studies are needed to further assess the effectiveness of dietary restriction on cognition.

Effective arsenite adsorption from aqueous solution using N- and S-functionalized tetragonal nano-zirconia on chitosan-derived carbon

Jordan Schueler et al.

Summary: Intermittent fasting (IF), a popular diet involving short-term fasting and/or caloric restriction, is found to be negatively associated with lack of perseverance and intuitive eating when compared to individuals who never fast. Past IF participants are more likely to exhibit binge eating behaviors. However, these findings should be interpreted with caution due to the limited diversity in the sample.
