School Absenteeism and Academic Achievement: Does the Reason for Absence Matter?

Summary: There is a consistent association between school absences and academic achievement, regardless of the reason for the absence. Overall, absences are negatively related to academic achievement, and different types of absences like truancy, sickness absence, exceptional domestic circumstances, and family holidays are all negatively associated with achievement.

The Association Between Fathers' Self-assessment of Their Own Parenting and Mothers' Recognition of Paternal Support: A Municipal-Based Cross-Sectional Study

Summary: This study found a high level of positive agreement between fathers and mothers in recognition of paternal parenting, with less frequent negative agreement. There were significant differences in paternal parenting time among the four groups. Multivariable analysis revealed associations between maternal mental health condition and marital satisfaction with discrepancies in recognition of paternal parenting.
