AVO Inversion Based on Transfer Learning and Low-Frequency Model

Jinyu Meng et al.

Summary: In this letter, a method for AVO inversion combining transfer learning and low-frequency component constraints is proposed. The method addresses the issues of insufficient label data and network applicability, and experimental results show that it effectively improves the accuracy and continuity of inversion results, while reducing dependence on logging data.

Elastic Properties Estimation From Prestack Seismic Data Using GGCNNs and Application on Tight Sandstone Reservoir Characterization

Hui Li et al.

Summary: Traditional optimization algorithms used for estimating elastic parameters from field seismic data rely heavily on prior knowledge, leading to uncertainties in inversion results. With the development of neural networks, convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have been applied to this task, but the lack of labeled seismic data and diversity in datasets can hinder their effectiveness. The proposed Geological and Geophysical Model Driven CNNs (GGCNNs) model in this study leverages synthetic labeled prestack seismic datasets to incorporate geological information and achieve a balance between inversion accuracy and labeled data size. Applications demonstrate the effectiveness of GGCNNs in predicting elastic parameters with high accuracy and smoothness.

Super-Resolution Optimal Basic Wavelet Transform and Its Application in Thin-Bed Thickness Characterization

Yajun Tian et al.

Summary: In this article, a super-resolution OBW transform (SROBWT) is proposed to obtain the best joint time-frequency (TF) resolution for characterizing thin-bed thickness. The SROBWT combines the adaptive superlet transform and the optimal basic wavelet (OBW), and a parameter selection method is proposed for the adaptive superlet transform. The proposed methods were validated using synthetic and field seismic data, and the results demonstrate the effectiveness of the SROBWT for thin-bed thickness characterization.

Construction of Optimal Basic Wavelet via AIDNN and Its Application in Seismic Data Analysis

Yajun Tian et al.

Summary: Continuous wavelet transform (CWT) is an effective tool for seismic time-frequency analysis, with the key issue being selecting a matched wavelet for accurately characterizing seismic data features. A novel method using deep learning network and three-parameter wavelet (TPW) for basic wavelet construction was proposed, demonstrating its effectiveness on synthetic and field data for analyzing seismic data features.
