Summary: The current study explored the relationship between relative deprivation, self-esteem, and aggression in young male migrant workers. It was found that relative deprivation was significantly correlated with self-esteem and aggression, and self-esteem partially mediated the relationship between relative deprivation and aggression.

Moderating Role of Self-Compassion in the Relationships Between the Three Forms of Perfectionism with Anger, Aggression, and Hostility

Summary: This study aimed to explore the moderating role of self-compassion in the relationship between perfectionism and anger, aggression, and hostility in adolescents. The results showed that other-oriented and socially prescribed perfectionism positively predicted anger, aggression, and hostility. Self-compassion played a moderating role in the relationships between these forms of perfectionism and anger, aggression, and hostility.

Summary: Parents of children with disabilities face significant economic, psychological, and social pressures, which may impact their subjective well-being. Family adaptability and cohesion positively predict parents' subjective well-being, with active coping style and resilience partially mediating the relationship. The chain mediation of resilience and active coping indirectly predicts subjective well-being based on family adaptability and cohesion.

Temporal pathways from attachment insecurity to paranoia in a heterogeneous clinical sample: An experience sampling study

The findings showed that increased attachment insecurity was associated with higher levels of negative affect and paranoia. Feelings of Personal Relative Deprivation and Subjective Well-Being in Japan

Summary: Personal Relative Deprivation (PRD) refers to resentment and dissatisfaction caused by feeling deprived of a deserved outcome compared to a reference. This study examined the relationship between PRD and subjective well-being in Japan. A survey was conducted with 500 participants using the Japanese version of the Personal Relative Deprivation Scale (J-PRDS5) and various well-being indices. The results showed that PRD significantly correlated with subjective well-being and that comparing one's abilities with others could undermine well-being through PRD.

Pathway from interpersonal sensitivity to depression among Chinese college students during the COVID-19 campus lockdown

Summary: This study aimed to explore whether anxiety mediated the association between interpersonal sensitivity and depression, and investigate whether psychological capital moderated the indirect or direct effect of this mediation model. The results showed that there was a positive correlation between interpersonal sensitivity and depression among Chinese college students. Anxiety partially mediated the association, and psychological capital moderated the relationship between anxiety and depression.

Psychological maltreatment predicts decreases in social wellbeing through resilience in college students: A conditional process approach of positive emotions

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the mediating role of resilience in the association between psychological maltreatment and social wellbeing, as well as the moderating role of positive emotions on the mediating effect of resilience in this relationship. The results showed that psychological maltreatment had a significant impact on resilience and social wellbeing, and resilience and positive emotions played important roles in mitigating the adverse effects of psychological maltreatment on social wellbeing.

The Influence of Perfectionism, Self-Esteem and Resilience on Young People's Mental Health

Summary: This study explored the relationship between maladaptive perfectionism, low self-esteem, and student mental illness, as well as the moderating role of resilience. The findings showed that maladaptive perfectionism, low self-esteem, and resilience significantly predicted depression and anxiety. Additionally, resilience was found to have a stronger effect on explaining the variance in depression and anxiety compared to perfectionism and self-esteem alone. These results suggest that maladaptive perfectionism and low self-esteem are risk factors for depression and anxiety, while resilience acts as a protective factor against the development of mental illness.

Relative deprivation, depression and quality of life among adults in Shandong Province, China: A conditional process analysis based on social support

Summary: This study aims to examine the relationship between relative deprivation, depression, and social support on quality of life. The results indicate that relative deprivation is negatively associated with quality of life, with depressive symptoms mediating this relationship, and social support moderating the effects.
