Chemosensor with Ultra-High Fluorescence Enhancement for Assisting in Diagnosis and Resection of Ovarian Cancer

Summary: Fluorescence imaging-guided diagnostics is a promising method for detecting tumors in situ due to its simplicity and non-invasiveness. The chemosensor LAN-beta gal, with a specific recognition unit of d-galactose residue and a fluorophore of LAN-OH, showed remarkable fluorescence enhancement after beta-gal was digested. It successfully visualized endogenous beta-gal, distinguished ovarian cancer cells from normal cells, and was applied in vivo for tumor detection and surgical resection of ovarian cancer. The LAN-beta gal chemosensor shows potential as a new tool for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer.

Development of a novel latent electrochemical molecular substrate for the real-time monitoring of the tumor marker aminopeptidase N in live cells, whole blood and urine

Summary: This study developed a novel electrochemical molecular substrate for real-time monitoring of APN activity in tumors. The substrate showed high sensitivity and specificity towards APN, with no interference from other biological species. The results of APN quantification in whole blood and urine using this substrate were consistent with commercially available fluorometric assay kits.

Real-time identification of gut microbiota with aminopeptidase N using an activable NIR fluorescent probe

The probe successfully identified target bacteria and saccharomycete possessing active APN from human feces using real-time fluorescence imaging.
